Arqueo POS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Arqueo POS Offline (hereinafter, “the Application”) is a point-of-sale management tool developed by Frederick Garcia. Your privacy is fundamental to us.

1. Data Collection

Arqueo is designed with an Offline-first approach. However, to improve our service, we collect limited technical information:

  • Local Data: All business information (sales, products, customers, employees) is stored locally on your device and is not accessible by us.
  • Analytics & Stability: We use Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage data (screens visited, buttons used) and technical error reports. This helps us identify bugs and prioritize new features.
  • Identifiers: We may use anonymous device identifiers to distinguish between unique installations without identifying the individual user.

2. Permissions (Camera)

The Application requests permission to access your device’s Camera for the sole purpose of:

  • Scanning QR codes associated with sales and products.

We do not capture, store, or transmit personal images or videos through this permission.

3. Data Storage

The stored data is saved in a SQLite database encrypted or protected by your mobile device’s operating system. You have total control over deleting this data by uninstalling the application or clearing its cache.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Firebase (a Google service) to provide analytics and crash reporting. Firebase may collect data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. We do not share your local business data with any third party.

5. Google API Services & Google Drive (Limited Use)

Arqueo POS Offline requests access to Google Drive (specifically the restricted scope drive.appdata) solely to allow the user to securely backup and restore their local database.

Our application does not have access to your personal files, photos, or documents in Google Drive. We do not read, collect, store on third-party servers, transfer, or sell your Google information. The entire synchronization process occurs directly between your device and your personal Google account.

Arqueo POS Offline’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
